A Time-Honored Event Celebrating St. Catherine of Siena’s Employees
St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center held its ninth annual employee service awards on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Stonebridge Golf Club in Smithtown. The time-honored recognition event was attended by 150 employees to thank them for their loyalty and dedication to the Hospital and Nursing and Rehabilitation Care Center and Medical Office Building.
Director of Pastoral Care Elizabeth Meehan initiated the service with a prayer for employees, followed by a welcome from St. Catherine’s Executive Vice President and CAO Paul J. Rowland. Mr. Rowland first acknowledged the four employees who have served the medical center for more than 45 years. Gail Marie Gruber was acknowledged for 45 years of service. Pamela Hagermann, Julie Lycksell, Barry Richard, and Diane Rettig were acknowledged for 40 years of service.
Also in attendance to thank employees for many years of service was CSHLI Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief HR Officer Anthony Pellicano.
Mr. Rowland shared the many accomplishments the hospital has achieved and attributed that success to the dedicated employees who show up day in and day out to provide award-winning care to patients and support to their families.
"We are representing 3,300 years of service for this ninth annual awards dinner, so congratulations to all of you this evening," said Mr. Rowland.
Director of Human Services Onorina Saporito started the official ceremony, recognizing employees who have served from 5 to over 45 years of service. After the ceremony, employees took to the dance floor for an evening of festive celebration.
